Hidden Beach
Nevada’s Hidden Beach isn’t actually all that hard to find, being accessible from Highway 28 just over half a mile south of the village of Incline. It’s here you’ll find the nearest parking. A walking and biking trail then leads to the beach, with many visitors unloading close by before parking, rather than carrying their gear all the way.
Around 200 yards in length, the beach curves tightly around a small almost circular cove with shallows reminiscent of the Caribbean. Its sands are dotted with large round boulders, helping to separate off different groups of beachgoers.
Because of its relatively small size it can get busy during summer weekends, with those wanting the pick of the spots arriving early. It’s also a popular beach with boat owners, kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders. For solitude, head to Hidden Beach on a weekday.
Although Hidden Beach is no longer a clothing optional part of the Lake Tahoe shoreline, there are still occasionally nude bathers. Facilities are basic and limited to simple restrooms.
Dogs are permitted with restrictions.
