Lighthouse Beach
Lighthouse Beach in Eleuthera is one of the most scenic and secluded beaches in the Bahamas. Located at the southern tip of the island, it features clear turquoise water, dramatic limestone cliffs and soft, pink-tinged sand. It is said by some that the sand here is actually pinker than the Bahamas official Pink Sand beach on Harbour Island!
Lighthouse Beach stretches for miles, offering plenty of space to explore or relax in complete tranquillity. However, this may change with the Disney Cruise Line purchase of the lighthouse and development of “Lookout Key”.
For the time being though, reaching Lighthouse Beach requires a rugged drive, but the effort is well worth it. The views from the cliffs of Lighthouse Point overlook both the Atlantic Ocean and the calm Caribbean Sea.
Snorkelling, swimming, and hiking around the headland are popular activities, but the real highlight is the beauty of the landscape. It’s an ideal spot for those looking to experience Eleuthera’s natural charm without the crowds… yet!
