Playa de Guacimeta

Playa de Guacimeta is a long, golden-sand beach located right next to Arrecife Airport on Lanzarote’s east coast. The beach has generally calm waters and soft sand. It is certainly less than the crowded tourist beaches, but not necessarily quieter!

Despite its proximity to the airport, the beach remains a relaxed spot with the added interest of being able to watch planes landing and taking off while enjoying the sun. A scenic coastal promenade runs along the beach, making it ideal for walking or cycling.

The water is sheltered and shallow, making it suitable for families and casual swimmers. There are no major tourist developments, but the nearby town of Playa Honda has restaurants, shops, and other amenities.
